On paper, yes. But we believe "church" is so much more than an organization, or building, or event. The Church is the family of God. We talk about Uncommon [good] as a "Faith Community" where we invite people to the family table, create community, and care for the people around us.

Our co-founders are all followers of Jesus. But we know words like "Christian", "Follower", "church" and even "Jesus" can bring certain assumptions with it. Our team wants to exist as people who welcome all, start conversations, and readily admit that we don't have all the answers. So we think a better question is, "do we love Jesus and people?" To which we'd answer, YES!

Our hope is to be a unique expression that operates within the rhythms of real life. We believe gathering together is the absolute best way to enjoy community with God and one another. But we also know that not everyone connects with a "worship" service on a specific day and time. AND we believe that everyone can engage in spiritual conversations and faith rhythms without a pastor or church service holding the keys to the conversation. But we know consistency is helpful for families and schedules. So we gather every other week and on the in-between weeks, we encourage our community to lead the conversations with their friends and loved ones through our weekly email reflections on faith, life, and being human. Plus we hold events about once a month that look different than a typical gathering. You can learn more about our different events on our events page.

Well, we like to follow the example Jesus set for us: meeting at tables with food and drinks and seeing that as just as sacred as any church space. Plus... Fun is fun. Who doesn't like to have fun, right? We intentionally build fun events into our schedule just for the sake of having... FUN. Sometimes it's an event for families, sometimes it's an event like Wine & Words, Beer & Banter, or [Good] Night where grown ups can enjoy a drink and have deep conversations that we may never have in a church gathering or small group. And finally... From day one, we have wanted to be a unique expression of a faith community. So gathering in public spaces that don't look anything like "church" is our way of taking down barriers and building bridges for anyone who wants to join real conversations about faith, life, and being human.
